Planning Virgin Island Kayak 2012
Although WAY behind schedule Frank and I have a plan in place to get our kayaks seaworthy within the next month or so. Over the course of the winter and early spring we are going to build the other two kayaks for the two suckers other participants who have asked to be a part of this trip.
For those of you who are either familiar with the islands or have access to google, we are going to begin this trip on Virgin Gorda and then paddle along the uninhabited southern islands with a final crossing back to St John. A personal highlight for me will be spending a night on Norman Island. Legend has it that Norman Island was the influence for Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island.
It doesn’t get much cooler than that for a 38 year old kid!
